I'm not interested in the aesthetic of AoS and these dwarves are  altogether too steampunkey for my tastes but I do quite like those airships.

Dwarves are absolutely NOT my Thing, however, the airship has a lot of VSF potential.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

Yep...

Those will be really easy to convert to VSF.

Nice!

Edit: Damn... could get me back into VSF again.

Pig ugly.

True, but I also find it of the slightly appealing kind.

Not sure I'd use it; more like interesting Steampunk art. Worth a peek, might borrow parts, move on.

Unlike Agis, I'm rather down with things dwarven, including VSF, but my never-completed project had all earthbound lads.

This

It's not the dwarves that matter here.

It's the ships. And being plastic models... yep, easy to convert.

Well, that's a thing now...and really doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the AoS stuff. I really don't like the metal balloons which seem to be strange and more into scifi than most steampunk stuff.

But at the same time, the aesthetics of the rest are interesting.

Any new airships are a plus...they're not my cup of tea but saying that some of the parts would be cool to have available for use on scratch builds!

Admit it; you could use the baubles for tripods, repurpose the grossly-sized weapons for one or another murderous new villain you could add to the von Hades community, and end up doing absolutely marvelous things with the hulls made almost sensible.

Except the big one; that's already so over the top even from the deck down, you pretty much have to take it as it is.  ;D

I'm sure I will find the prices quite a bit shocking, in spite of GW actually doing some surprisingly less painful bundles of late, but the multi-use, if as good as I guess, these will seducing my wallet open at some point.

Hey Doug I suspect your suspicion of a high price point will be correct so we'll never be able to test your theory lol..

It's the big one I'm looking at as well.

How much?

*caution - vast speculation*

If you consider they used their largest oval base (170/105mm - a little less that 7 inches), that tells you more or less how long it is as the ship appears to be about the same length as the base. It appears to be as high as it is long, so 170mm (7 inches) tall. That would make the ship structure somewhere around 170x170mm or 7x7 inches.

As it is almost certainly the "Command" ship, and based on other somewhat 'close' miniatures of that size, such as Alarielle the Everqueen Sylvaneth leader and the Everchosen model of Archaon, it's probably going to priced somewhere between 80 and 100 British pounds, 105 to 130 Euros or 130 to 165 Dollars.

So... not cheap... by a long shot.
