Ok now what do I do with this?
« on: 23 March 2017, 12:18:19 PM »
Bought this at Poundworld it's a garden photo sensitive light that comes on when it dark (if you want it to) ..
But I honestly cannot think of any ideas as to how to use it..perhaps add a large piece of plastic to the light as a lumitated portal?

Um, use it in the garden?

Oh, you mean in a game!   :o

No idea.  May a comparison pic next to your chosen figure scale will help.

That's the surface bit of a nefarious villain's underground lair. The lamp is his Z-Ray doomsday weapon soon to be unleashed on the unsuspecting citizens of Earth. The black square is his version of a Thermal Exhaust Vent, so the good guys can foil his plans at the very last minute (obviously with explosive results)... :D

This is almost exactly what I thought, Only I figured it's the entrance (or the release hatch for a weapon silo!), by covering the light with a round industrial door of some sort.

You could put some sort of spell effect over the light to make it a magic portal of some sort.
or
Take out the electronic bits and pieces and make some sort of star base inside it. Great for X-Wing armada or similar small scale space games.

It's obviously a hollowed out asteroid
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Yep.  I was thinking an asteroid holding one part of the wormhole generator for a star system.

Off planet colony solar generator, build in some tubing coming from the bulb area with slits in it to let out light.
