However.. I think the base is shit. Why is he standing on a slab like that. It looks weird. And the lack of attention to the base compared with the immaculate painting makes it jump right in my eyes.  :)

And when I say shit it is meant to be "shit on a scale where 1 is still light years above average joe and 10 is the painting on the argonaut" lol

The first attempt was even worse and had taken a lot of time so I had to go for something simple to meet the deadline. But yeah my basing skills need a lot of work.
