There's no need to explore the Congo on foot.
« on: March 29, 2017, 08:42:04 PM »
As this years Project is a jungle airfield. I needed to look at expanding off the airfield and exploring the jungle. But walking everywhere isn't quite Pulp enough for me.So this is definitely the way to go.
It's going to have to be a scratch build,I'm afraid as I need at least two.

My dear Sir,
When one is traveling this way ones only concern is ,will there be enough ice for the Pimms. At no point will you be undertaking manual labour!

I'll be making a start next week .While being Very thirties' its not quite pulp enough (just yet.) I. think its crying out to be caravan meets B52 styling.
My intention with this piece of nonsense is be able to use the convoy as a 'train',and have train style roof top fights without the need to build railway tracks. I've already something similar for artic tundra and Russian civil war/BoB themed Pulp games. With the Shay caterpillar tracked loco and sledge mounted wagons.
To be perfectly honest I keep meaning to read the vehicles mechanics just to figure out how play it. But keep thinking sod it ,you cant play it till you've made it.

As we are talking the Congo; good luck getting those through the explored jungle. Nevertheless Commander Gatti completed his two year 'cruise' with nothing but praise for them, the adverts said so, so it must be true.

What a splendid project.  :)
