A busy month in the run up to Salute. Lots finished off, just in time.  :D

A small terrace & row of shops, built using the resin frontages.

Backyards for a larger terrace.

Office Block.

Blaggers.

Security Guard: minor conversion from a senior cop.

Not used in my Geezers game, a couple of American punks. Can you dig it!?

Arkwright, Granville & shopbike.  All conversions.

I painted a full set of the current resin frontages for use as display items by OWS.

Also, I built & painted a few walls for the Geezers game.

This was possibly my most productive month ever.  :o

I don't wanna go straight after Overlord...  :'(

This month, in order to try and stay focused, I decided to not have more than six figs on the table at any one time, and a new fig couldn't be started until another was finished. Why 6? Because that's how many inserts came in the Ikea box I store my paints in...

Anyhoo, 29 completed! Woo! that's nearly as much as last year's total! For the whole year!

Anyway, on to poor quality pictures (apologies, our digital camera takes pics only in shades of pink now for some reason, so we're left using the phone cameras):

11 zeds and a survivor, as seen on the Future Wars board

A cyborg ninja, just because. I may try to shoehorn him into the zombie project, or just claim he was the justification for the purchase of a small flat drybrush...

Tamiya heavy weapon teams for AEWWII, painted using the sure fire method of throwing paint at them from a distance of two feet in a darkened room in my enthusiasm at getting them finished so I could start the other projects I started since joining these forums...

Sarge, a golem and a converted medic - the golem has blue runes across his chest, arms and legs, which you can't see in this pic   :?

AEWWII mechanic. Couple more units to paint and I'll have enough painted figs to play a game...

Rasputin, Hellboy and Silent Invader's Generic casualty, which I still haven't been confident enough to splash TCR on yet... Funny story - Rasputin, after sitting undercoated for a couple years, finally got layered up to a light grey, had blue washed into the recesses, and then a badab black wash to tie it all together... which dried pretty much matte black. Into the finished pile he went...

Hellboy on his lonesome - apart from some soft detail on the gun, I was really impressed with this sculpt...

Darkson Designs Robot Troopers - lovely jubbly minis  :D

Anyhoo, apologies for the quality of the pics, and hoping next month will be as productive as this one...

Adding to the RN raiding Party on page one, here are the other figures that I painted in March. They also happen to be my very first commission work …

Insurgents…

…and figures for a Mummy scenario…

… a total of 58 figures this month… not too bad  :D
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

What is the manufacturer of the figures??
The Geezers are available from:
http://www.killerbgames.com/geezersshutit.html
http://www.outpostwargameservices.co.uk/

If you mean Arkwright & G-G-Granville:
Arkwright is a conversion of Artizans 'Arne': http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1224
I removed his right arm & pistol at the elbow & resculpted it in his pocket.  I also added hair & a moustache.

Granville is a the Foundry Old West 'Irritable Shopkeeper' with additional hair & tie poking out of his tank-top:

myincubliss, the minis look dark because of the white background. The camera reads this as being backlit and makes the main image look darker.
To avoid this, use a white-blue screen.
This is why I hate digital, it tries to double guess you.

Or use a flashgun at 45degrees with 2 DAYLIGHT lights either side of it.

EVIL digi-cams.  :)

oh and aircav, where did the WWW1 vampyre come from? I've been looking for one just like that for ages!

I hope it ain't a conversion, if it is, it's very deceiving!  :)

Ours is broken, hence the use of the phone camera  :'(

Do you reckon the phone camera is clever enough for blue/white to affect it? All else failing, it can't hurt to try...

It's made by Bolt Action Miniatures in their occasional Weird War II range. The uniform looks very much WW1 indeed.

The camera will struggle with a pure white backdrop.  Only so much you can do with a phone camera but blue/white gradient background should work better than white

It will work better. Most of it depends on the way it is lit. Light it from 45 degree angles.
