My Civil War Daleks
« on: 05 April 2017, 02:25:49 PM »
Inspired by Germy's project I painted 40-odd DWA iDaleks in a Dalek Civil War scheme. Further inspiration came from these pics:

The results:

Waiter, my soup is giggling.

That's a whole bunch of "exterminate!" you have there.  Well done.   :)

Nice paint jobs. The sensor globes look good.

Are they iDalek models?

Cool! I (enamel) painted the original citadel plastic daleks in the imperial colour scheme in the late 1980s ala Remembrance of the Daleks.

Long gone now... Are you tempted to scratch build or buy a special weapons dalek? I think Blacktree design do one?.

They were giveaways with the Doctor Who Adventures kids' magazine. They've been given away in various lots - 1 issue had 17 of them for less than £3. Quality has been variable between lots. Take a look at Germy's blog:

Westwaller, yes, I have enough Daleks stashed to attempt to do a few Special Weapons Daleks & perhaps Davros in his emperor guise.

Thanks.

There is a comparison photograph (Harlequin, plastic RTD and plastic iDalek) here:

I have not got far with them (taken a number apart and reassembled the front piece with a better fit), painting the sensor globes has been the biggest reason for filing them in the to do box ^___^.

Really nice paint jobs

lol Although I was bonkers enough to paint the domes by hand  ;D Germy did come up with an alternate method using a tube. I got off lightly, Germy painted over a hundred. :o
