Thank you! Let me show what I have on the workbench right now. My original plan just involved a fistful of civilians, I was just planning a RT scenario in which a fugitive escapes from the arbitrators on the chase while dodging people on the crowded streets and jumping from here to there. At some point it all escaped from my hands, but whatever.
I was in dire need for cheap civilian minis to populate my streets. So I got these WotC Star Wars minis, less tan 1€ each:

So it all was a matter of RT-ing them. I mostly used GW bits and some others. Let me show the after/before.

First of all, a merchantman:

A more extensive conversion, involving WHFB bits:

A simple one, with the keyring of his ship ;D:

A guy with nothing in his hands (you never find those on the mini ranges!)

A protester, clearly!

Time for a lady:

This one was different. I got two minis out of him, by adding Skitarii bits:

A simple one, with a head from Maxmini:

Another protester:

A... Clerk from the Administratum?

The last one. I had these arms from the WHFB Empire cannon. What could I do out of them? A watermelon vendor! :D

So this is it for the moment. No idea when I'll get to paint them, but I'll try to put my hands on them soon!

You can find them here too:

Well, I hope they add some flavour to the board!

Wow those parts fit quite well 8)

I like the clerk! 8) 8) way to rescue a figure.

What glue works on the bendy pvc and hard plastic HIPS? Superglue? Did you drill and pin, because I would have thought the hard superglue would have a tendancy of snapping free from the bendy.

I have a few bendies left that could do with some of that treatment.

Cheers
Matt

Back again on this project!

What glue works on the bendy pvc and hard plastic HIPS? Superglue? Did you drill and pin, because I would have thought the hard superglue would have a tendancy of snapping free from the bendy.

I'm using superglue and I'm having no problem at all. No drills, just glue (I'm too much of a lazy bastard!) :D Nor I'm having problems with paint. Regular spray priming and usual technique. It's coming out better than expected!

what did you do with the swapped alien heads? :P

Hehe, they are now part of my Imperial Assault project ;), I have plans for everything! ;D

Back to this, I can bring you half of the batch today! I haven't come with good, elaborate stories, but at least each one of them has a name, I think I 'll let the stories be told by themselves with the minis. OK, enough. Let's go:

Ichabod Guss, merchant:

 Mesmer Godinus, space ships technician:

Yohann ur Ghilt, taxi driver (Ouch, now I need a taxi!):

Gorden Karabas. Just a mere bystander:

Karim Gomm, fruit vendor (I need stalls too!):

Helenna Talabant, freelance prospector:

Here you have them too:

This is it for the moment! The rest will come anytime son, stay tuned!

Nice batch of figures. Helenna might need another (?) coat of matt varnish.

No chance! Not on bendy plastics karsten unless you want sticky and shiney. ;) brushed on varnish may be ok.

Haha a watermelon! And a heavy one at that, unless the vendor just cannot stand straight anymore, or future produce is so full of nutrients and goodness that one small piece will sustain a human for an entire day. hahaha what a strange blend of renaissance and sci Fi, but it works. 8)

Here they are, the rest of the group. Again, a quick work just enough for having them tabletop ready. Let's go for them:

Boubaka Salim ibn Abenasser, wasteland explorer:

Pedro Mobhing, local Bailiff:

Gael Makabesse, Administratum clerk:

Mick Bouros, local worker:

Dabenari Molokisse, protester:

Brian Emmettis Pardus, another protester:

So this is it, time for a family pic:

And the correspondent blog post:
http://oldschoolworkshop.blogspot.com.es/2016/04/crossover-civilians-pt-2.html

So group finished, time to think about what's next :D

lol Too much a temptation to let it go :D

Thanks, Puuka! I hadn't thought of what to use yet, but you certainly gave me a couple of ideas! :)
