Here is the finished Tube Station:

Frontage:

Rear: Deliberately left pretty plain.

Another shot:

I already have the basic walls cut out for two rows of terraced houses.
There will likely be a short break before I start work on the next batch of buildings though.

That is a great job.  Love the little shops and the broken windows on the top level.

Well done mate.

Wow! This is by far the most exciting project I have seen in a long time. I guess its great for us Brits as we can relate to exactly what Overlord is making.
Well done, can't wait to see more. ;D

Could you tell us how the windows were made?

Could you tell us how the windows were made?

The windows are a bit of a cheat.

The upper windows at the front of the Tube Station are purely photos scaled to fit with the model.  The original was taken from the photo of a real station below (middle windows copied 3 times as it was the most proportionate and without other stuff in the way).

The shop & kiosk windows are again using photographs, but glazing over them with clear plastic (from figure blisters).  The window frame is the built on top of that from strip plastic card.

The upper windows on the Pub are photos, glazed then framed.  The Arches (Cafe door & window) are done in the same manner.  Downstairs Pub windows are just glazed without building frames (too fiddly).

Its a compromise which looks fine from "tabletop" distance.

Once again, thanks for the feedback.   :D

Painted a few civilians:

4 on the left are Foundry (I know they are a bit modern for the 1970's, especially man on mobile phone!) & 2 hostages from TAG.

I've seen Overlords miniatures and arches up close and let me tell, they are every bit as good as you'd think they are from these images. Better, really.

I did wonder about the windows all being the same, the whole thing is really lovely, but after all that artistic work was a bit spoilt with the repeat windows. maybe you could have gotten away with it if you had flip/reverse one of the photos.

Saying that doesnt take way the work and effort on the whole piece.

I've been told that I am an all round nice guy, well, that what he said before I shot him
