New to Forum and Pulp Games
« on: 15 September 2008, 07:58:59 PM »
Great site guys. It has inspired me to try pulp games. I got a copy of .45 adventures at a local games shop and played a game using some WWII figs I have. Now I'm hooked. Bought some Artizan figures at the Claymore show in Edinburgh. Below is a picture of the first proper game I ran with the guys from my DnD group.

Hope this works I am not sure I am doing it right.
I am intending to do a Turkish Bazaar for my second setting. Anybody know where to get civilians that may suit.

I opened an account on photobucket.com, uploaded the pics (size about 640Xsomething) and then posted the direct link here with the toolbar. Don't know how the others do it (posting pics, I mean...).

I don't know of any manufacturer that do a Turkish bazaar but Eureka Miniature have some Arabian bazaar I think...  :?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

For a Turkish bazar I would pick up some West Wind Gypsies, Artizan and Brigade Games Fezed gentlemen in suits and perhaps, depending of the era, a command pack from BG with WWI Turkish officer. Since you definitely need some kaftans and fezes in the pictures I, for civilians, would probably use indian or arabian miniatures (Eureka, Foundry) but do head swaps for fezed heads. There really should be no or few turbans, just takkes (you know, 'kippas'), fezes and Stetsons, oh, en veiled or scarved women but no bourkhas.

Thanks for the advice.
I have got a photobucket account now and will try and post some pics tonight.
About becoming a supporting adventurer. I have never been involved in a forum before what is a suitable donation?

Had a look at Brigade games, looks good I may be ordering something from there in the future. I have recently received 40+ figures from Pulp Figures so I had better wait a wee while until I actually manage to paint some of them.

A picture of my first pulp game
The adventure is to find the museum director. Played the game with six players. Each with a grade 3.
Nazis V Gangsters V Explorers V The Agency V Mercery V Sky Rangers.
When we ran out of time the Nazis had won.

Excellent board!

I love museum set-ups and I have to get around to building one myself one of these days (after my two Broadsword Adventures boards of course).

Do you have any close-up shots? I'd love to see how you did the doorways.

Close up of the doors.
One on the left is made fron modeling clay, silver foil and card board.
The one on the right is made from foam board and cardboard.
