From the burial mounds come skeletons!
« on: May 01, 2024, 09:36:06 PM »
Hello all!
Thought id share the beginnings of my old world army, the warriors of Baba Volko!

I'm a sucker for old school minis, so this has been a treat so far.
I have plans to add some more minis of course, namely a Varghulf.

Let me know what you think!

Very cool old school figures there!

I’ll offer some unsolicited but we’ll meaning advice about the photography - if it’s practical for you to do, it would be worth setting up the shots so that the main light source comes from in front of the figures. The features on the front of the figures don’t show up as well as they might because they’re in shadow. I like your painting on the figures and would love to see them even more clearly!

Thanks for the tip! I'll endeavour to do that on my next images!
Thanks bud!

These look great!

I have found photographing miniatures pretty challenging, but it’s really nice (and motivating!) to see other people’s work.

Please keep sharing.

Nice job on those, from the mini’s, through the painting, to the basing, lovely!
I thought I could see the light at the end of the tunnel … but it was just some sod with a torch bringing me more work!
