My 6mm Napoleonic Project
« on: June 07, 2014, 05:42:41 AM »
Now then,

Im quite a new member to this forum, and I have posted these online elsewhere but I thought I would share what ive been up to over the last 2 years, slowly chipping away at my vast mountain of unpainted 6mm Napoleonics!

Heres some Austrians.

Fist up I have my "German" Regiments. They are slightly smaller than the Hungarian Bns, which ill post up later.

Infantry Regiment 44. (3 Battalions).

Infantry Regiment 46 (3 Bns).

IR 8 (2 Bns)

IR 3 (2 Bns).

All these troops are based on 20mm - 15mm bases. The original plan was to use these for lasalle, then i discovered General de Brigade, but I have finally settled on Black powder! I fully intend to play all 3 games once I return home to the UK, for now ill keep painting and sort out some French opposition!

There is more to be seen on my blog here -

Hi again,

Heres some scruffy light infantry types!

Jager Bn in firing line.

Open order.

Skirmish screen, with support.

Heres a Bn of Grenz. I decided to base all my Grenz troops as irregular infantry. :)

The Carneville Friekorps. I am pretty sure the uniform changed in about 1808/9.... But the earlier uniform is far more interesting. A strange little unit, about 120 hussars, and 280 Jager. I am being indecisive about how to deploy these... ???

Cheers for looking, next up I have some Artillery!

Steve

These are lovely Steve, I can paint 6mm to a standard I am happy with but I find them a right pain when it comes to basing. Really fiddly and I get base paint up on the figures grrrr. Keep up the good work and welcome to the forum btw.

Thanks Jeff, I know what you mean about the basing, it can be fiddly and ive had the odd mishap with basing paint myself....

Heres some cavalry,

3rd Hussars

2nd Uhlans

6th Chevauxleger

Massed cavalry so far.

Cheers for looking,
Steve

Thought very seriously about beautiful Baccus 6 mm figures but am leaning towards 3 mm as of now.

You stuff is absolutely wonderful.

Gracias,

I must get around to 6mm sometime, your figures are certainly inspirational

6mm! Nps! You barking mad Cypriote!  lol I'd never even consider going smaller than 15mm (and probably never will paint anything smaller than 20mm/1:72, as I already have a substantial French force in 1:72 plastics)

What rules are you going to use them for?
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Yorkshire actually is one of my favourite landscapes, far too rarely visited.

Black Powder is the set from Warlord Games, right? Makes a lot of sense to 'scale up by scaling down' for Naps. Nothing as great looking as a large table with hordes of little men in lustrious uniforms!  :)

How is "LaSalle?"  I'm tempted but then again.
