Thanks again folks!
Ahh the wings, I put some serious thought in the positioning...

1st off I have to agree, it looks a bit strange.
Then I looked very seriously how the Sanguinary Guard wings are mounted:

After that I put the wings into the same position and rotated them 90° upward.

And that's how it looks then. Every other position was even more awkward...
I don't doubt you took time to try out positioning options. I should say that I don't like the Sanguinary Guard wings either.

For what it's worth, the wings may have worked on top of the exhaust, along the control surface that is jutting out. But you probably tried that and discarded the idea.

And this is all just my opinion anyway. Your models still have fantastic paintjobs.

Great stuff Agis! Nicely done! 8)

The only thing that doesn't work for me (and it's nothing you could have changed without some major issues) is the spring-loaded ACME jump boots! I hate that design feature more than the useless shields! :?

Threads like this validate their move to larger scale marines.  Your figures look fantastic.  I loved the comparison with the figures in your first post; They do finally look as they should when compared with "normal" figures.  With all of those big. clean plates they beg for mad heraldric designs.  I wouldn't mind trying my hand at some of those just for the fun of painting a few.

Your Sanguinary Guards are very good painted, but these figures do not really fit in the 40K-Universe I think. It seems that too much elves work for GW in the moment....

Thanks!

Fluffwise I have to say that these fit PERFECTLY into the new 40K 8th edition background.
I am just in the last pages of the Dark Imperium novel after reading the 3 Gathering Storm books, it all comes together nicely.
:)
I am hooked again...

My favorite stories are Ravenor and Eisenhorn, more the Inquisition than the marines. These dark feeling in 40k is perfect, so I do not think Golden Marines with shinny horses do not really fit in. But it is only my opinion. The new plaguemarines are fantastic. Dirty and brutal.

Dirty Dirky Strikes Back.
 ;)

Although I do get your point.
I prefer the grim and darker side of the 40K universe portrayed in the Inquisition novels, along with the Horus Heresy saga to the 'cleaner' stuff too.
 ;)

Your painting is simply stunning, though, and taken from that view alone it is one of the best collections of 40K models that I have seen,

Thanks Folks!

I was also happy about the BoW feature about my Primaris:

;)
Anyway here is the next Intercessor Primaris:

Again only a very minor conversion. I only used MkVII exhaust vents with BA droplets, the droplets were arranged to enhance the dynamic, forward feel of the skirmishing mini.

And as always more on my site:

While I have to agree to your choice of novels (OK, I still love most of the HH books also), I have to disagree about the "do not really fit in".  ;)
Maybe your forum name should have given me a hint...  lol

Anyway, IMO 40K needs as much Darkness as light, otherwise all would be indistinguishable.
The Plaguemarines are IMO OK, but the always grinning Poxwalkers are just silly.

I think you are right, these new fashioned things like golden marines and poxwalkers are not really great. I started with the old Warhammer and the great Warhammer Fantasy roleplay. Hope they did W40k as Roleplay 15 years earlier. Now 40k feels a little bit over the top and silly, like you mentioned. So I try to pick out the good stuff and ignore the silly stuff. And Mario nes in golden lightning uniforms are silly for me. I like the space dwarfs, they ar missing.

Primaris Intercessor Brother Marines of the 2nd company, 7th squad. This time no conversion at all.
Just a solid paintjob...
