Poirot!
« on: January 26, 2024, 06:01:32 PM »
I couldn't decide if this should go in Pulp or Interwar, so if the Mods want to move it please go ahead...

The Boy has recently discovered the old David Suchet Poirot series on ITVx and become quite obsessed (he's 11 going on 40...).

So Dad thought he should paint up the main characters.

L-R, we have Inspector Japp, Captain Hastings, Monsieur Hercule Poirot and the redoubtable Miss Lemon.
A mix of Artizan and Copplestone figures.

Interested to hear your thoughts.  :)

Brilliant! Great choices for figures. I have something similar on the back burner as wife, daughter and I are all fans of the Suchet depiction of Poirot (can’t stand Branagh’s recent movies, though).

I’m still trying to figure out what rules would work for that kind of scenario, though, where physical confrontation is a relatively small part of the game.

Thank you chaps.  :)

The more I look at that picture the more annoyed I am that I'm too old to paint eyes anymore...  lol

Thank you. Coat d'Arms Tank Light Grey, one of the most useful paints I've ever owned.

Thay look great and a well considered selection of miniatures. More than happy for them to remain on the Pulp Board

Always nice to see Hercule Poirot! As many, I'm also fan of David Suchet Poirot series.  :)

I wonder if this would work for you? (Don’t be put off by the sci-fi setting) It combines Pulp Alley with Cluedo:

The Vice Alley supplement for PA has, I believe, rules for social interactions and there are some “Miss Marple” style scenarios available I seem to recall.

Thanks for the suggestion, something like that might do the job. I haven’t played Pulp Alley, but it gets a lot of positive discussion, so I’ll take a look!
