Round of Fire rules review
« on: 05 February 2018, 08:28:28 PM »
Rules review of "Round of Fire", another universal skirmish game to choose from. The unique selling point here being asymetrical unit activation based on a wheel where tokens representing your fielded units are moved different amount of spaces depending on how expensive unit actions are to perform.

Elite units performing low cost action can be activated several times per turn, while rabble or expensive firing actions limit unit activation to once or twice per turn. It would be hard to keep track of all the costs of each unit archetype if not for the unit cards that are provided as a free downloadable resource.

The game focuses mainly on near future/sci-fi settings, but can also be used for historical periods using black powder and swords.
