Space Ship Furniture?
« on: 18 July 2020, 08:31:50 PM »
Does anyone know good sources of available scatter terrain for space ship interiors?

I'm looking for doors, consoles, control panels, chairs, crew berth furniture, access panels, work stations, dining mess, torpedo tubes, med bay gear, etc..

Without things humans touch, space hulk or ship tables simply look like a dull metal dungeon.

Think these are the cheapest option and offer quite some nice pieces.

If you want to try some DIY, there are Hirst Arts moulds:  https://www.hirstarts.com/molds/moldssci.html

Another option is 3D printing.  Here's one example, I'm sure there's much more available! - https://www.shapeways.com/marketplace/miniatures/scifi?type=product&q=furniture

Scale is going to be the big question.
28mm Bits and pieces.

I am no help for 15mm as it is not my scale.

Knights of Dice
Some of the old Worldworks papercraft sets had a whole bunch of equipment (you can make them more solid by filling with molten hot glue), the real problem is finding them...
Genet Models also have some.
There may also be similar pieces on Drivethrurpg right now, as papercraft and certainly as STLs, on special due to their Christmas in July sale.
Scotia Grendel have a whole section of SF bits, some more suited for a diorama or vignette than as scatter terrain, but some things will suit.
Similar with Reaper, who have a generator and terminal, but their Starship Door looks more like a vignette backdrop than a usable door.
Warsenal have a whole bunch of scatter terrain and objectives that can be used as scatter terrain.
RAFM have a few bits.
A couple of pieces fromBlack Cat Bases.
And, Micro Arts Studio also has a few bits.
NOT buying a 28mm WW2 army for the foreseeable. Deal with it.

I am a big fan of Battle Systems.

Originally I did not much care for the idea of cardstock terrain... but certainly  for sci-fi at least, Battle Systems convinced me. More time for painting minis and playing, less time for painting terrain. Easy storage. Very modular and convertible, making it useful for different scenarios. Great quality, customer service and pricing.
