Samurai vs. Zombies?!?

If you ever get the chance check out Versus 2000.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275773/

Katana against Zeds!

At least it starts off that way. Then it moves to the modern day with Japanese thugs using gun-fu & kung-fu against zombies.

Brilliant! I doubt there's been a warrior caste in history with a bigger decapitation fetish  :D
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

eee, I watched that again the other night - the first time I saw it, I laughed uproariously non-stop at the camera angles and shot selection - such a well done film!

Versus is a great film. Totally over the top and no plot to speak of beyond "This guy might be a bad guy, those guys certainly are, here's a butt load of zombies. Fight!". Perfect for watching drunk.

I would also recommend Aragami and Azumi by the same director, Ryuhei Kitamura. (Azumi 2 has a different director, and isn't quite as mental - you've been warned!)

Nuts film with no real idea of where its going, good for a laugh but that's it really. Saw it on lovefilm, sent it back same day. ;)
