Conquistador miniature time period

At what point would a conquistador miniature's clothing be out of style?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Probably around the time the next Paris winter or summer collection comes out. :)

Depends on what you mean by conquistador. That term takes in the better part of a centuryor more , in various parts of Latin America. Practical items like quilted leather and cotton jackets lingered on in parts of South America well into the 17th C but nether wear and other clothing items you see on miniatures ranges probably only run to the first few decades of the 16th C.

I would agree with Carlos. If talking about matters such as the Conquest of Mexico ( 1519-21), I would say these fashions were good until circa 1540-50. However I think during the 16th century you see a gradual move from effectively "late Medieval" to "English Civil War" style clothing and equipment .For instance a late Elizabethan army would look quite different from that which fought at Flodden in 1513.
