Mordheim Sisters of Sigmar sources
« on: 22 March 2025, 02:04:43 AM »
Sisters have always been my fav Mordheim warband. I have all the original minis but I am curious on all the other miniature possibilities. So what do you got or know about? Be they proxies models directly or something that make a good basis for a conversion or kitbash. Just curious what's out there i may not know about. So what have you?

I did think about doing a proxy sisters of Sigmar warband some time ago as the original Sisters figures went out of stock remarkably quickly. The figures I looked at were the Mantic Kings of War Basilean Sisterhood figures - an obvious proxy set I would have thought. Shieldwolf Sisters of Talliarum or Shieldmaiden figures might be another possibility, although they can be a bit too tall for my tastes. I'm sure there are other choices out there though.

One of my favorite warbands!

Bombshell Miniatures has some, including an auger.  Clearly intended to be Sisters of Sigmar.

Highland Miniatures makes some, which you can purchase through Etsy.com.  Here is one seller who carries them:

Sorry about that URL!  Fairly easy to find if you go to etsy.com and search for "Sisters of Sigmar".

Reaper used to have several, sculpted by Werner Klocke.  Lovely sculpts, and still available (I just checked).   I searched for "Warrior Nun", but some are listed as "Battle Nun".  I found seven.  This series mostly carries weapons Sisters of Sigie cannot carry without the skill that lets a hero carry any melee weapon.  Mostly, they have swords.

Good hunting and good luck when you are ready to take them out to stomp evil.

-Michael

P.S. A friend once ran a Sisters of Sigmar band and he gave his Sisters names like "Sister Mops the Floor", Sister Does the Laundry", Sister Cleans the Privy", etc.  20+ years later, I have no idea what warband I was running, but I remember his sisters.

There have been numerous STL sets by a variety of sculptors which are direct Mordheim sources, but I don't know any of them myself (just seen my buddies who use them), so they're definitely out there.  Also imagine some of the 40K Sisters of Battle minis could provide useful parts/bits/doo-dads.

Last Sword Miniatures has Sisters of Serens:

I?ve been mightily impressed by the prints I have from Vae Victis digital sculpts. They have a few sisters including an auger & Bertha Whateverhernameis (the SoS dramatis personae). They also have some other rather good DP inspired characters.

I have only used the original models. Some were converted/upgraded/enhanced though.
There was never need for proxies or substitutes.
