Spanish Civil War Moors
« on: 16 June 2021, 11:23:56 AM »
I’ve been doing a little more reading on the Spanish Civil War.

A Francoist officer is on record praising his Moorish soldiers.  He advises a colleague that Moorish troops will keep going as long as their officer leads from the front.  This implies they might not if their officer didn't perform as they expected.

It made me wonder what they did when their officer was shot and killed.  Did they continue to advance?  Go to ground?

I’m hoping that someone better read in the period might know the answer.
