Frostgrave Cultists - Pulpified

I recently purchased a sprue of the Northstar Frostgrave Cultists to try out as I have always wanted some sinister hooded mooks for my pulp adventures.

I added a few arms from the bits box (Wargames Atlantic French Resistance and Warlord Marines (maybe?) to give a little modern fire power and I must admit I think they turned out rather well.





Taking things a little further (and inspiration from tereydavi yet again) I decided to add some of the left over bits to some of the French Resistance I had in the painting queue - a quick decapitation later and they had some new spooky heads sewn back on.



It seems Bill and Ted were a little late getting out of work and only had time to hood up before the night's summoning started ... it's not wise to keep the daemons waiting.

Great idea.
Say they work at the garage and gas station at the edge of town. And put on their masks when they move in to snag the odd stranger passing though late at night.
"Sure we are closed mama/sir, but we will make a exception for you, especially since your tiers look to be going a little low. We will take care of that for you, so just go wait inside have a coffee on us."

I've got some cultists set aside for the same trick, although I was planning on mixing the less scifi pistol from Stargrave and some other fRostgrave bits for mine.  Have to consider getting a Resistance box, apparently.  Their clothing looks very suitable for the period, and well beyond.

Even with no attempt to Pulp them up, the Stargrave arms work okay, although the tech-wristbands on the left arms are far too anachronistic.

Excellent work, pauld. Those cultists are the business, great idea with the French Resistance sprues.

I did the same sort of thing, but used the arms and weapons from the old Wargames Factory zombie survivors set.

Bit of greenstuff required to match the look of the existing arms, but not too bad

I really need to pick up some thin plastic rod the next time I'm doing hobby shopping.

I was considering getting the resistance box but this seals it.  I will do the same thing to add more mooks to my cult.
