Pattus Magnus’ Seven Years War - Battle of Reichenberg

I finally got the chance to use the Seven Years War collection in a game. I played the battle of Reichenberg yesterday with a fellow enthusiast. We used the Twilight of the Soldier Kings rules. We made a few mistakes, but had a lot of fun anyway.

I played the Austrians. They were handled roughly by Fredrick’s lads.

Through much of the battle the Austrian and Prussian cavalry wings beat on each other on the plain next to the main Austrian position. The Austrian cavalry experienced a setback when their heavy brigade routed, but they dragoons held on doggedly.

The Austrian reinforcements took a long time arriving and Austrian resistance at the main position collapsed before the new brigades could get to contact.
