Outremer kickstarter
« on: 16 May 2022, 09:29:11 AM »
Hi all - I've jumped into the Footsore kickstarter for Outremer, but am already aware I won't be able to afford all the minis I want from them.   My plan is to fill in with appropriate plastics - however I don't know who does 28mm plastic crusades (for both sides) that would suit the period, and match with Footsore sculpts - can anyone here advise?

Fireforge Games has a good selection for plastics, now including Turcopoles. Great sculpts that work well with Footsore Baron's Wars. Perry Miniatures metal ranges are also low cost compared to Footsore. There you can find many complementary figures, especially for the muslim forces. Crusader Miniatures are also great value. Their knights are awesome sculpts, definately at par with Footsore.

Gripping Beast? Can't remember whether they do plastic Saracens or not, worth a look.

Yes, GB does mounted and foot saracens. Also lots of them in metal.
Footsore also has many saracens in metal worth checking. The previous range sculped by another artist.

I don't have many plastics for the crusades but managed to dig out a couple of sprues that I'd picked up for kit bashing.

The first image is a Gripping Beast plastic Arab alongside a couple of Barons War miniatures.

The second image is a Fireforge Western Knight I think alongside a couple of the Barons War cavalry miniatures.

Hope that's of some help.

I was thinking the same thing ... well more to the idea that what other figures can go with the Footsore Miniatures ... I have long given up trying to Financially regulate the Lead Addiction .. lol lol
Thankyou Red Rowan for the pics ... looks like they GB and Footsore fit nicely ..
Cheers
