I admire your creativity. Your conversions are so impressive! I might steal one or two ideas for my own 1/72 figures  :D

 Hi guys

I made some STLs of Gallic chariots for a 1/72 ancient Gaul project I’m planning, and I cobbled together some Gauls using parts from free thingyverse figures, the shields are free from 3D breed, I’ll be buying some figure STL set from them for more parts to play with, I have also made a batch of nekkid Gauls, which I have test printed, but need to cure, these figure will be mixed in with plastic Gauls from all the usual sources, Caesar, Hat, Italeri, Romans added to the pics for scale. I have placed some in the chariots for pics, but will make proper crew for the chariots.

Hi guys

Finished the first of 3 legions for my 1/72 Republican Romans, the other 2 will be yellow and light blue, figures are Hat, some slight conversion in there, I originally intended to heavily convert all of them, and adding more detail, but the project stalled, and I decided to just paint them to get them finished, the second yellow legion is being finished now, I’ll go back to the original concept of heavy conversion for the 3rd blue legion, I haven’t started any work on that one yet. Still working on the Triarii and foot command, these are based for DBMM. Still debating whether to get decals for the shields, leave plain or hand paint decorations, once I decide I’ll add a little damage and weathering to them.

Those look great to me, tidy painting and good looking bases! They give a good impression of formed units.

Thanks mate

Hi guys

Finished the 2nd Republican Roman legion, yellow shields for this lot, (my first legion in red is behind) working on converting figures for a 3rd legion, but next up on the Ancients painting table are Iberians, I’ll start by having enough to be allies to both Rome and Carthage, then I’ll expand to a full Iberian army, these guys need a lot more work, shields and tunics will end up having intricate designs, they are just in their base coat stage at the moment.
