[Argad] Hot paella in the Peninsular

A Napoleonic Peninsular skirmish game, played last Saturday at “Ramène tes Jeux“ games festival (in Theix-Noyalo, near Vannes, Brittany).

There were one GM and five players (two French, two “Spanish“, one “British“). Ruleset “Argad“ which is 1:1 skirmish but may allow very small squads to look and act like battalions on the table.

The GM, having lots of Napoleonic figures, decided to send small reinforcements to both sides unexpectedly at all times from everywhere (as if different units were trying to regroup with their main forces) so players could not know what to expect next.

1813. French troops are retreating across the Basque country, they want to cross a village and come out by the road at the other end with their carts and luggage. A few pictures:

Villagers suddenly complain that a few British deserters are running away with stolen goods (in the wood on the picture). The Rifles sergeant (my own PC in this game...) tries to run after them (he can be seen in the background running near the house muttering dirty English words that I cannot write here).
