Pensioners versus Zombies.

These are lovely Satyr Art Studios miniatures from the States. The figures are a great homage to the early years of Warhammer, now Oldhammer

Those are just wonderful  :-*

The zombies are on point of course, but the pensioner brigade is ridiculously nostalgic and looks like a lot of fun to paint :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Wonderful work!

In not too many years, the oldhammer crowd is going to look rather like that  lol

The pensioners that is...although now I type it, maybe I mean the zombies  o_o

That is hilariously awesome. I see alot of Satyr Art Studio's work on an Oldhammer sculpting group. He does some really great things. I wish more of his work wasn't limited runs as his greater daemons are amazing.

Is it just me, or nostalgia maybe, but the 'oldhammer' figures had a lot more offbeat fun about them - the later GW figures seem to be far too serious and lacking a sense of humour. Bit of a shame really.

Absolutely. I also prefer those exaggerrated reliefs in faces, cloth etc; they're so much easier to paint (having just painted several very shallow Bones miniatures)!
