Blimey, there's one there that resembles Maurice Micklethwaite and not a lot of people know that. lol
They have lots of character, the mounted infantry look useful too ;)

I like those. Not quite up to Empress Miniatures' standards, but very useful, especially the more characterful packs.

Hurrah!

I like the british building barricades pack, very original one!

But I think the british infantry command are big-headed or something strange, aren't they?

There's something not quite right about most of them to my eyes.  :? Its like the upper bodies are really chunky, but the legs are quite spindly, and some of the faces look a bit odd to me too.

That said, the mounted infantry are quite nice, and its good to see unusual poses like the guys building the barricades.

lol They were sculpted by Rob Baker I believe (formerly of 1st Corps, now of Fabulous Baker Boys http://www.thefabulousbakerboys.co.uk/). Rob told me some of the characters were deliberately modelled on the versions from the film.

I find them a bit of a let down after the smashing Zulus. Nowhere near as good. Remind me of the odd-looking Wargames Factory Zulu War output, I'm afraid.

Yes! That's exactly what I couldn't put my finger on! Well spotted Mr Plynkes.

I wonder if that's a conscious marketing decision - oh you've bought a load of those plastics, well how about some of our metal command? They fit right in!

Well I like them. I'm a big fan of Robi's sculpting though. Lots of character in them, I think they may well find their way onto the christmas list.  ;)

I hope Foundry have some more to release.
Ray.
