You can be proud of yourself, you organised the whole thing and gained valuable experience. Not your fault that attendance was low. You never know, you may have planted a seed in a mind somewhere. It looked educational and fun!

Well done in setting up this up - sounds like you have a good number of attendees/ players.

Did you have any that were already gamers, I couldn't quite tell from one of the comments in the blog if they weren't likely to want to play Ancients again, or just they weren't likely to play wargames at all.

A bit of both.  The RPGers and Sci-fi/Fantasy folks did not seem inclined to expand to historicals.  The non-gamers did not seem inclined to get into wargaming. 

.... but hope springs eternal!

My local area is having its first ever Con on June 7th. Looks like the Battle of Kadesh is coming back for another run!

Boo!  Miniature portion of the Con got cancelled, so I no Battle of Kadesh.  Sad!
