Butlins?
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

I made them from corrugated cardboard, base is 8x12cm, walls are 4x12/8x12cm, cut openings for windows and doors in, glued simple cardboard to the back, again cut openings in to make frames for windows and doors and glued another layer of card behind these to make the windows. Finally a transparent plastic sheet was glued behind these and there you are.

You need:

Cardboard
Steel ruler
Scalpel
Glue (I used UHU)
Transparent foil
Pins (these will makethe door handles and are not attached yet)
Matches (if you want to raise the floors from the ground like I did)

Very cheap and quick, but still effective, I think.

Thanks for the recipe :)

I'd been thinking about making something quite similar, but now I've seen yours I know exactly what I want to make.

I reckon they'd be useful for loads of settings.  As prison camps, early airport buildings, mine camps, barracks, etc etc (oh, and holiday camps).  Useful all purpose stuff and simple to make.

Also useful for polar camps (quonsets etc). The trick is to find fine-waffle cardboard

I found the source!  The US postal service "flat rate" boxes, (free).  They have very fine corrugated board, and the top layer peels off with no residue/ripping, mess!    Quality stuff, half the size (thickness, goooves etc.) as normal boxes, but strong.

Try them.  (the USPO flat rates, for some reason, takes apart cleaner than Fed Ex boxes.)

I discovered this this month.  It put my 15mm Boxer Rebellion pile of buildings and frames, back in "ready to make much progress" status, as I now have easy  and the preferred style  roofing material.
