Do you know this site ?
http://www.sovmusic.ru/english

It's full of music of the soviet era. I can be quite inspiring for Boshevik players in Russian Civil War games.

And on this page there are songs of the white armies

On the Manchuria Hills.

It's a very good one, and though refering to the Russo-Japanese War you can imagine Red and White soldiers singing it at night.

May I recommend the soundtrack to Dr Zhivago, by the great Maurice Jarre? (Also responsible for the soundtracks to - amongst others - 'Lawrence of Arabia' and 'Is Paris Burning'... More classic music to wargame to!)

Having said that (I'm sure this must have been covered somewhere else on this forum already), but personally I find 'Gladiator', 'The Last of The Mohicans', and 'Pirates of the Carribean' take some beating!

But back to the RCW... On Dr Zhivago, I particularly recommend Lara's Theme, which to me just shouts 'COSSACKS!!!!'  :D
