I just uploaded photos made by my great-grandfather Julian Wojciechowski during his service in 7th division of Polish army in Africa. Link:

One of the photos has the perfect angle of the Sphinx with Pyramids behind it, for a diorama I want to build for more than 3 years. Now I know what has to be done to have a background for the sphinxhead I got.

The last picture looks like a armoured troop transport ? a sherman with no turret 1943? think it Italy 1944?

The first 2 are Stuart 'Jalopies' ( I think Stuart V/M3A3) - light tanks with their trurrets and 37mm guns removed.   The 3rd is a Sherman.

Wonderful, atmospheric pictures of a brave group of men.  Seems to have made the most of his leaves in Egypt and Italy  8)
