Hmmm. I don't think that tartan is quite right for the 2nd battalion of the 79th... Maybe for 1858 but not 1857...

the first two packs of Bengal light and Sikh/Punjabi cavalry are ready just waiting on the command figures which will arrive this week

On topic I just got done painting a box (32) of highlanders.While I was at it I did a unit of Front Rank Napoleonic Highlanders too.

Hey Svenn, really enjoying the painted figures. I really like the bases. Mind if I ask what colors you are using and what the base material is? I just based and primed my first 12 Brits, but am still working on Martian stuff, so unsure how soon I can get some traction. Thanks.

All my Mutiny stuff is individually based on 2p coins. Very simple, I glue the figure in the middle with super glue and then I just cover the integral base and the coin with ready mixed wall filler. I paint them with craft paints. A medium brown called earth for the base coat which I water down so that it spreads on the dry filler. Then just drybrushed, heavily, with a beige and a sand colour. Add a few silfor tufts or static grass and thats it.

We generally mix some cheap craft acrylic in with pre-mixed filler before putting it on bases. That way you don't get glaring white patches if the base gets chipped at all.
