Mutineer Ghurkhas
« on: March 15, 2015, 03:39:19 PM »
Painted some Indian Mutiny Ghurkhas from Mutineer miniatures. I used the Foundry Rifle Green trio which is a nice colour and suits them well I think. The chap with the open hand is a standard bearer but the Ghurkhas didn't have flags apparently, so I've painted him as a junior NCO as to me he just looks like he's gesturing with his hand to his section.

Nice job on those minis, the command group are my favorites.I have quite a few Mutineer minis in my collection, just wish they did a few more native irregular types though.

I don't know how I missed these!

Lovely brushwork and I think you've got the dark green down to a T!!

Thanks for the comments, yes the green is a good colour especially as it came straight out of the pot. I could have chickened out of the dicing and gave them cap covers but instead I painted the hat band red, gloss varnished it and drew the black on with a mapping pen. Then revarnished matt.
I'd read about this elsewhere and it really does work for small details.
