For 11/01/10:
After a break of a few months, we recently started up our Monday night pulp games again. It’s been great getting the old gang together, as well as introducing quite a few new players to the game.
Last night we gathered at Bubbachek’s. Kaiser acted as gamemaster. Zac, Meissner, Tidball, and Bubbachek played. And I snapped a few photos while gorging myself on left-over candy.
Below: After the terrain was set up, each player picks their starting table edge --

Below: Kaiser explains the scenario and identifies the objectives --

Below: Turn #1 and the game is underway. Per the special scenario rules, there was no fighting on the first turn --

Below: Doc Phlebo and his followers move through the village --

Below: Yip Pang’s pirates are ambushed by The Swede’s men, lurking just on the edge of the jungle --

Below: The Swede rushes toward the native village, quite willing to exchange lead with the nefarious Doc Phlebo! --

Below: The Swede is injured and quickly finding himself outgunned, as Doc Phlebo’s minions rush to aid their master --

Below: The Swede swiftly leaps over the wall, and luckily falls on top of a crate (scenario objective) --

Below: Yip Pang and Cleo fight an epic duel through the tent camp, while the Swede pulls off a narrow escape --

This four player free-for-all scenario lasted 6 turns, and took about 2.5 hours to finish. Over the last few weeks we’ve been playing 4 player games, so I think we’ll try breaking it down and doing a few 2 players games next week.
See you next Monday!
