Shared this on TMP, now lookinh for thoughts from LAF Guys/Gals.
I was looking at a Reaper character for an entertainer themed NPC party (D&D inspired even if I don't RPG anymore) and the thought for 02051: Cecilia the Trickster was what a cool character for an actress or singer (or even better both) themed character. I thought, wow, this would be perfect for an Illusionist NPC character.
Then the insanity began… Raised by a Bard and a Rogue, Cecilia (an illusionist) uses her illusions both in her career as an entertainer and her career as a magic user. I would give her a trained voice for speaking and singing as part of her background. Have not developed the thought more – yet – so feel free to add details for consideration.
I have always felt the OAD&D and AD&D 1st edition Illusionist class was too weak initially but had potential just about the time most classes of characters started becoming playable only if challenged by the "mega-monster of the week" situations.
What do you think about backgrounds for the rest of the NPC party? I plan an entertainer NPC group based around the following figures:
60011: Lem, Iconic Halfling Bard (recorder, it appears from picture)
03441: Elliwyn Heatherlark, Gnome Bard (poet and add instrument from musical instrument pack, maybe drum)
03080: Anwyn, Female Bard flute
03107: Fynch Brassfrog, Gnome Bard stringed instrument
02051: Cecilia the Trickster (maybe add an instrument or should I keep with the idea her voice is her instrument?)
Maybe an Elven musician? What instrument? See link for what I have currently available.
Gracias,
Glenn
