Space Ork and Dwelling (with Pardulon bits)
« on: 09 April 2011, 08:29:49 AM »
Digging into 40K 2nd edition again. I'm doing a Goff Ork force at first.

I like the really colourful aesthetic of 2nd. edition. The circus as it was aptly named.

The first Ork for my new Space Ork force. The door is available from Pardulon miniatures (championed by Zafarelli on this forum)

Heated debate between Ork and Man.

O (Efing keyboard had a funny and posted before I could finish!) Great looking building though, takes me back to the very early years of my life when my dad had these sorts of warhammer stuff, and the pics in the magazines.

Amazing building, just class.  :D

Your ork goff is a PIECE OF ART.

I really like the luminous skin, bright reds, and the belt skull.

Do you pretend to paint a WHOLE ARMY to this high standard?

Phew!

I do have a bunch of those models, but most have been converted for other tasks (mainly fantasy). Lovely "classic" models.

Thanks for sharing.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Well short answer is yes. But in 2nd ed (from '93). you don't need as many figures as today. It's more of a skirmish game than the weird mass battle thing going on now.

I have a bunch of the old metal Rogue Trader Orks, that are going to be freebootaz (ork pirates) as well.  lol

Ah yes, the classic 'Eavy Metal "Red Period."  I remember it well.  ;)

Awesome stuff, can't say it's my thing, but that is really vibrant!

I started during this period, so I have lots of it, not quite sure what to do with it yet. Probably be good to get rid of it.  ;) ;) ;)

You started playing when you were 2 (7 at the highest)!?  ;)

I actually started 40k in '99 so I missed all this completely.

Hi Dr. The Viking, nice painting, really like the checks on the Ork but the skin really pops (just vibrant). Can't wait to see an army of them.
