Battle Rages on Cytherea
« on: 23 April 2011, 03:13:00 PM »
Our local campaign saw the British move on the American territory in a strategic move to sever their out land areas from their capitol.

One major hurdle became apparent during their deployment, .... they should have brought the reserves with them! Facing a larger force, Leadfool and Laughingferret pictured left to right are the British Commander and Subordinate Commander at the far end of the field trying to figure how to drive the superior sized American force from the field. After failing several turns to get their forces rolling, which in turn was offset by the Americans poor fire failing to do any notable damage, they got down to heavy fighting, eventually ending in a draw.

Campaign Map and more photo's here:

With winter looming (which causes all armies to return to their capital areas) in one turn, the British position becomes a quandary of press on or possibly withdraw to reorganize?

Allan,
Thanks for posting what has to be the worst photo of me ever.  I look like a Cytherian ape.
The game was fun though.  I started with a much smaller force, which I did not realize until we were truly "stuck in".  I consider not getting crushed to be a victory.  Besides, after his mad charge and stunning melee, all will now fear my "spark", Mishugenah Golemmacher.

Really, the worst? Maybe some local folk can dig around and try to top that...

Always glory in being a forlorn hope!

Win, lose, or draw, with which I'm always good, you did have fun!

The Sparks' mad charge and defeat of an entire company of guard infantry will become the stuff of legend.  He and his magic weapon of ancient and unknown powers destroyed two platoons and sent the other 2 platoons running.  Must have been a light saber.
