7TV - the distraction I didn't need :)
« on: April 25, 2011, 01:37:50 PM »
With a couple of rules things I am supposed to be doing and in a desperate attempt not to rave about 'other' people's rules I promised myself not to buy any more rules - but came back from Salute with a set of 7TV and now 4 games down the track instead of doing my 'work' I am still playing ... damn!

The rules are the first 'spy', 'pulp' (I KNOW it isn't real pulp) agents set that I have found that actually work to give  good, simple to play, but with all those gadgets and events we love from 60s/70's TV shows. Plot/scenarios don't just rely on body count and it feels 'just right' - so I'd recommend them, now if only I could stop playing and get on with the FL WWII supplement ... DAMN!

You only got the rules a week ago and you were able to pull together a board with a laser, shark tank and a conveyor belt with a circular saw? I'm so envious  lol

A weeks holiday and the fact it kept me away from doing household chores helped believe me :)

Aye that 7TV stuff is special - it's like the cherry on top of all those dodgy TV series.

The bit we have for testing is really cool ...
As to the rules I haven't met anyone who doesn't like them yet who I have played with yet for the type of game they model.

I was already sold on the idea and when I saw their game at Salute I had to have a set. Had a good read on the train home and now I'm dying to put on a game. In fact if I hadn't been:
1. Ill (though it did mean I got to sit in the garden reading the rules whilst my brother and sister-in-law sorted it out!),
2. Forcing myself to finish the extra ACW figures I bought (finished last night :)),
3. Trying to organise a WOTR game for this Sunday,
I might have tried out a few solo scenarios already.

I...kinda have a computer case that's destined to become a bond-villain lair...

Sigh.

Darn you all.

I'm running a 7TV campaign and intro day on the 4th of June in North London. The Crooked Dice guys will be there with the award winning Salute James Bond game, running demo games and giving help with the 'casts'. Also a 3 game 'comp' for players as well as goodies on sale from Crooked and Ainsty.

For more info see:

Should be a good fun day
