Modelling brushwood boma?
« on: 28 April 2012, 06:17:39 PM »
Hi, all. I picked up a copy of C.M. Turnbull's The Mountain People, which is about the Ik people of Uganda. I noticed an interesting diagram of a village which is surrounded by a tall, vertical brushwood palisade or fence (labeled as "boma" in the diagram). How might one model such a fence? Would broom bristles be too coarse or regular?

I guess broom bristles will work fine. I've seen broom bristles used around a village during a stunning game by the "Kriegspielers"? here on laf but I don't know in which of their great games the village can be seen.  ;)
