An important announcement from Ernie Baker, Architects of War! (in The US)

Historicon is only 50 days away (as of this post), and preparations are progressing furiously along! We have the first-ever Perry Miniatures National Painting Contest happening at Historicon.

We wanted to let everyone know that the first 50 people who enter the contest will receive one of the fantastic miniatures below free of charge! This is the exclusive Perry Painting Contest Participant Figure for 2012, and the only way to get one is to enter! We are only receiving 50 of these models, and they are available strictly on a first-come basis. They will not be available from us in the uk.
'So do all who see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that we are given.'

I keep thinking about this as my own standard of painting is reasonably high but after seeing what was entered in the Salute Wargames class I think the idea of the painting competition has been lost
