Royal Ecossais-Head Swaps

Ok i was looking at the recent issue of WI and seen a great looking Regiment of Royal Ecossais. It says they are Front Rank conversions and i was wanting to do the same seen as there are no decent figures for the Royal Ecossais.

What i want to know is what would be the best way to remove the heads from the Highlanders, so that it would be a clean cut to put on the French Light Infantry?
