Well;

If you've missed the sale why not try this place for some foamcore. I've ordered in the past and 20 A4 sheets for £15 ain't bad.

Now does anyone have a good source for cheap balsa wood?

Oh and anywhere that still sells knaaff (sp) spaceboards would also be useful!

Cheers
Andy

Good source for balsa here

Good shout OP.

I'd recommend looking in art shops. I buy my foamboard from an independent place which sells it at a negligible price (half the price of the [now defunct] local model shop).

I'd second that, mine has A3 sheets of plasticard around £2.50 - £3.50. I also really like the A4 foamboard, especially the black stuff.

All my zed table buildings use black foamboard, personally prefer using it to white, don't have to worry about painting edges, etc...

Picked up ten sheets for £25 at the Norwich store - they were running short.  Had to sort through them to find ones that weren't damaged or torn, so watch out if you order online.

I buy all my foamcore from Great Art http://www.greatart.co.uk/modelling.html £2.75 for an A3 sheet of black. Excellent and fast service.

I use 3mm Kappa for large structures, more expensive but the foam centre is far more rigid than other brands. Using 3mm allows me to recess doors and windows.
