On that stage they are not painted at all and the tile adhesive is not dry all over, so the end result could never be like that.

I know, but you should aim for that kind of look! Less contrast on the drybtush, some differences in some areas!
You will need to do experiments, but i think it will improve the overall look! ^^

I think they ended up better on the last repaint?



There is less contrast and I think it looks ok that the rocks are a lighter shade than the ground.
