Thoughts on Studio Miniatures plastic zombies
« on: 18 October 2012, 08:46:23 PM »
I was lucky enough to get in on the Indiegogo thing for Studio Minis upcoming plastic zombies.  After studying them, I wish I'd bought more than I did.  Even though there are only 4 poses, I think alot can be done with them.  Since I can take years to complete a project, I thought I'd go ahead and share some of my ideas.  Please feel free to add your own.  Hopefully, it will benefit someone.

Here's the gallery for the plastic minis (there are a few pics of metal minis slipped in there though). http://www.indiegogo.com/zombie-miniatures?c=gallery

The body with the tie will make a great police officer

Maybe the tie could be shaved off to get a paramedic.

The 2 plain shirt bodies will make excellent prisoners

or hospital personel in scrubs

The jacket body will work as a trucker, motorcyclist or possibly even motorcycle cop.

I bought some of their plastic German zombies too, even though I'm playing a near future setting.  I think they'll provide some great variety, with a little imagination.

The second pose should make a good hunter

Fire Fighter (if you aren't too uptight about details, it's a zombie after all)

or Soldier in BDUs (again, if you aren't too uptight about details)

The first pose may be a little harder to use.
Again, could work as a Firefighter

or  basic hunter/survivalist.

I'm not sure if it's common in other parts of the world, but in the United States, motorcyclists sometime wear helmets that are styled to look like WWII German helmets, so there's even a use for that head.

If I come up with other ideas, I'll share them here.

Excellent ideas and with "normal human heads" swap you could even create survivors miniatures with their zombie counterpart.
I wish I were an octopus to paint more miniatures...Cthulhu must be a great painter

The last update they posted indicated they should start filling indiegogo orders around Monday.

I've seen no word as to when they'll go in the store.
