When I saw them I thought of your criticisms of the knight horses - bony heads etc. :) With these I thought they tried to fix that and went too far in the other direction. I'll have to take another look at mongolian-type horses, but I feel the heads are filled out too much - kind of blobby and more cartoony. And then there's the odd shoulders on one of them.

Apart from that the entire minis look pretty good, but 'that' is a fairly big deal from my POV!

Silversixx:
Nothing wrong with a bit of Gemmell, mate.
I reread ALL of his books last year and found that I enjoyed some of them more than I remembered from the last time around.
(For some of them, that would have been 15-20 years ago and I was not that impressed at the time. Dont count the Drenai tales in that catagory, though. I have always loved them!)
 :D
To be honest Paul, I did really try to sound intellectual in the previous post. But I can't hold it anymore. I love the simple "Hero vs Bad Guy gets hot princess in the end" storytelling. I can't help myself :( It's the equivalent of Harlequin Novels, and oh my, are they good or what :D

Me want some Nadir!
And a plus one on the unmounted versions as well :) Can't scale the walls of Dros Delnoch otherwise...

I kept managing to resist buying FireForge stuff but it looks like this will break me of that.  I always wanted to get into this era of historical gaming anyway.

Although this isn't the thread, the Templar infantry arrived! :-*

Some palpitations at first because the parcel was squashed down to almost half the original size, but luckily that squishy part revealed to contain only filling. lol

I like the infantry, they seem versatile, there's stuff for a command group, x-bows, loads of different helmet styles (older norman open ones, and later closed ones), you can use the hooded cloaks or not, etc.
