Post some more stuff on your blog!  I really miss reading your posts.

And I miss writing them. Right now I have two boys; 13 and 3, so I'm pretty busy. I had to cut some geek time out for the next few years so, faced with painting, playing, and blogging, I cut the blogging for now. If I could create some sort of blog with a simpler format and short snappy posts with one or two photos, I might get back at it. Unfortunately, Geektactica became something of an opus and, for a few years, I was really pumping out material. However, in it's current format, it's just too much for me to handle.

As your "travelling game set", please feel free to come by my place the next time you're in Enid, Oklahoma and I'll have Mila bake you some muffins!

Well, we have family in Orlando but that seems to be a 1500+ km drive so don't put the kettle on just yet.  ;)  So, I assume Pulp Girl bakes her muffins inside the core of a volcano while shooting angry natives with her six-shooter.

Thanks for your encouragement guys. I am cracking on with the second model this evening.

Very nice. I'm also looking at starting some polar/arctic/Canadian adventure type scenarios, so I appreciate the tips.

And me! There's a faily decent selection of figures out there.

...and I've always wanted a league that includes a Frisky Penguin!!   lol lol lol lol

Tex is an ex-US Army Sniper who has spent the last 10 years as a gun-for-hire. While serving as a mercenary in Somalia a few years back, Commander Frost saved the younger man's life from a would-be assassin. Tex has been Frost's eyes, ears, and protection for the last couple of years. He agreed willingly to accompany Frost in his search for the Derby Expedition.

Tex is the first of my Sidekicks for this league. I say "first" because I've decided to spend two league slots on the Company of Heroes perk which will allow me to field two Sidekicks. Tex is the first super-shooty higher level character I've played in Pulp Alley. I've given him Marksman (which means he will be fielded with 4D8 Shoot) and Deadeye (which means he doesn't have to shoot the closest enemy).

The mysterious remains ahead of Tex is another Arctic-themed plot point. It's a plastic bit from the old GW zombie sprue. The noose around the neck suggests an unfortunate end, but at whose hands...?

Good stuff Jet!  I always enjoy the stories you come up with for the characters you play with.

Who says it wasn't incompetence of the deceased in tying their own shoelace? Looking good either way.

I have to agree.
Some great imagination backed up by a lovely paintjob.

Great Plot Point too.
Reminds me of that dead chap in Hellboy.

Excellent! Cool paint job and cool background. Any chance the other sidekick will be a Husky?  :D

I really like how this is coming together.  :-*

Very nice. Love your brush work.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.
