HoTT Dragon army
« on: 16 August 2013, 12:36:25 AM »
Just finished working on a dragon army for HoTT. Of course, since you can't field more than one dragon, I used other classes. They also have less figures per base than normal stands.

And, what do you know, they don't all align properly with all those wings prodding out.

Nicely done. Interesting that you have themed them all as green dragons. Do you have a back story for your army?

Not really, apart from it being a brood akin to xenomorphs, Tyranids, the dragonspawn from the Iron Kingdoms setting. The idea that dragons might be more numerous as youngsters, only to dwindle as they grow older and more powerful.

There's also the idea of them working together to rid themselves of the big flocks of little squishies that could take anyone of them down individually. Less armies to take them down, more mutton, treasure and princesses for them.

As for the green scheme, I had already painted the central dragon. So I went with the flow, even if it isn't the best match for such an army using D&D classifications.
