Am surprized that they don't game it at shows over the water I thought that it was big over in the states as is here .

1) I avoid the competition gaming like the plague it is.   ;)

2) I suspect, like almost every rules set I have ever seen in play, there are so many local gaming niches that it depends on what the GMs most active in an area/genre/era promote.

This is something I've been considering too.  Impetus was my first thought due to the free basic rules.  I also like the basing system since it allows for unique modeling opportunities.  Each base could be a diorama for the army.
