New Judge Dredd Dark Judges Concepts.
« on: 12 February 2014, 09:49:28 PM »
These are being introduced in IDW's Judge Dredd comics. I've not been a huge fan of the new Dredd stuff but I really like these and might have to do some conversions of them. Two more will be added in Judge Dredd #17.

I love Judge Fistula! Judge Burroughs is brilliant too, such a weird flabby-muscly moleman.

interesting. I felt instant up in arms about it then promptly liked the idea.

The same for me. I think they're well thought out and seem to fit well with the original four. Have to see how they're handled in the comic.

At first I was against it, but I'm coming around. Some of the designs are pretty good.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

The designs aren't bad but I'm wondering how some of them fit into the whole dark nudge theme...

lol  A common reaction Im guessing.

Im amazed that 2000AD restrained themselves from expanding the dark judge rank for so long really (other than Phobia and Nausea, who dont quite count).

The designs aren't bad but I'm wondering how some of them fit into the whole dark nudge theme...

I quite like the look, although they look a lot like a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants line up to me.  That they still have a sort of uniform is good I think, making then some sort of functional police force, in their own odd way.

As for fitting in with theme, the US Dredd stuff is its own continuity that deals with some of the old original stories in its own way (such as the Robot War in the books that I have read so far).  Its very reminiscent of the Marvel Ultimate lines from over a decade ago, retreading old ground with a new take on old stories without huge continuity to deal with (yet...).

I dont know how the Dark Judges fit into that continuity yet (is there a Deadworld? Do Death and co. come from another dimension or from Dredds Earth? etc), so the additional Dark Judges are a bigger unknown to me.  I am quite sure that we will see the new DJs make it to the UK stories eventually though.

As for a range of models, hell yeah!
