Corvus Belli, the spanish company famous for the ancients gama in 15 mm for DBA is about to launch the 220 page - full colour manual of Infinity: A near future skirmish game with a strong anime look in 28mm...

For a year now, 5 of the factions have got their miniatures launched, and the full game is about to appear in a couple of weeks...

Here is the main page of Infinity, with an english version and forum...

http://www.infinitythegame.com

PanOceania is the most advanced nation, something like the Olympus in Appleseed, from Masamune Shirow... Their troopers sure look like ESWATS

Yu Jing is the oriental empire, with ninjas and martial artists in thermo-optical camo

Haqqislam is the arabic coalition, not a bunch of technoterrorists as should think, but an islam inspired in the illustrated one of the past

Ariadna is the least technological faction, descendants of the first wave of colonist but now in control of the main mines of Thesseum... Soviets, Americans, Highlander and Aliens together in the same army

Then there are the Nomads, the best hackers in the human sphere. If you have a tactical suit, then don't get near a Nomad Hacker...!

And finally, the Evolved Intelligence... Aliens from which none is known yet... Except their stats.

The quality of these sculpts is incredible.

Here are some pics of their last miniatures...

A few months ago, before I was infected by a disease called "Pulp Fever", indirectly caused by Mr Johnson  :D , I was painting some PanOceanic forces...

Here is the result so far: two fusileers painted in urban colours a-la ESWAT:

Bring yer wallet too! The prices are obscene, enough to make a GW employee blush.

I'm not all that thrilled w/ the sculpts either, but I'm not an anime fan. The hacker acetates are kinda cool...

Quality of these minis is indeed very good. Just like LeadAsbestos I am not anime fan but after seeing some of Infinity minis maybe I will change my mind.

Everything is just great except prices  :x

PanOceanía Aquila Guard

Haqqislam Maghariba Guard

I like this last model. It's like a Masamune Shirow tank!

My impression: Awesome models, fair to sub-par casting quality, steep pricing, poor rules. Let me say, however, that I only read the english beta version of the rules, and my poor impression may be due to the poor translation job.

I´ve got a Yao Kong Remote, myself. Lovely model, but badly cast - spent more time cleaning up than assembling it.

But awesome style. I also love that new Haqqislam tankie.

Maybe it's that, because, as far as I know, the translator of the beta rules were not official staff from Corvus Belli. I have the spanish version of the full manual and I must say it is one of the best ci-fi rulesets I've ever seen...

And, BTW, I saw no casting problems with the miniatures I own so far... Curious...  :?:

I have been lurking around the Infinity site for a while, now; one of my gaming pals is very eager to get some of those slender beauties painted, I just have had some doubts regarding the game mechanics though.. I hav only read the free, downloadable rules in english, too...
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Considering casting quality, I may just have been unlucky, but I´ve heard from various acquaintances that they had similar problems. I sincerely hope they do improve, as the design style of the miniatures is flawless (if you like "Shirow-ism", as I do! ;))
