well, I don't - but then, maybe I am not that typical german man...

I thought it was a German equiv. of a Bar Mitzvah, hit 13 and you get a dremel, a down payment on a BMW and a beer stein. Maybe you were off school that day.  ::)

How does it compare to the real deal? Does it give any figures for max torque or revs?

I had a play with it and it was fine, although I only never really used my proper Dremel at relatively low revs. In the manual it says n0 5000-20000.

 lol
I guess they passed on me - I used power drills and buzz saw before I was 13...

You might even be right with the dremel thing, handed out too early, because I know quite some "men"  who better keep their hands off electrically powered rotary tools, before or after 13 y.  It might not be the tool that makes it.... ;)

The Archimedes looks like a nice simple tool, BUT it seems like it wouldn't work too well without a flat surface to work on.

No you just hold the piece. Pushing down on a drill bit is asking for trouble.

End of the day use what suits you but worth knowing what's out there.

Great for pinning, weapon barrels etc... the small size allows multiple pinning in really small pieces. One chaos dwarf conversion i did had six pins for a weapon swop. All executed perfectly.

Cheers
